Before I get started, I would like to apologize for my lack of knowledge in photography. I do it myself as a hobby, and haven't been at it for a long time. I still have alot to learn, and will not be able to talk about camera specifics. That being said, I will try my best to evaluate this work as fair as possible with my current knowledge.

I would like to start with your vision. I like the way you portray animals in a relationship to other animals, surrounding, or as in this case, food. Not a bit gets wasted, as the little lionness plucks at the last strings of meat.

When it comes to technique, I can not say much except that I like the way you've put the focus on the face and meat, blurring out the rest a bit. The eye movement when seeing this picture feels right. You captivated the moment. One personal remark is that I would have left a bit more space above and around the lion. The picture feels a bit cropped, but that may reflect my taste more then it is a comment on technique.

I find the picture in it's own category quite original, because I have yet to see a picture where a little lioness enjoys the last scraps of meat, squinting her eyes. I like the focus, and to repeat myself, I like the relationships you manage to portray in your photography. It makes me think twice about our own habits, animals don't let much go to waste. But how do we live?
